NWACHEA

The NWACHEA Used Book Sale is scheduled for Saturday, June 8th at Grace Church of NWA in Fayetteville (the same location where the book sale was held for the past 3 years). Shopping hours are 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Volunteers will be able to shop from 8 – 9 a.m. on Saturday, prior to opening the sale to the general public.

You DO NOT have to be a member of NWACHEA to participate in the book sale as a buyer or seller. There is no entrance fee to shop.

To put your books in this sale, you are required to purchase special labels to mark books. The cost is $3 per set of 50 labels. (This is not optional – the labels have space to write all of the information volunteers need to process purchases during the sale. You may not place books in the sale with labels from another source.) If you wish to purchase labels, please contact Amy Calhoun.

Drop off for the sale will be Friday, June 7th from 4 – 7 p.m. at Grace Church. Sellers are responsible for unloading and bringing their books into the church sanctuary, at which point volunteers will sort the items and place them on tables.

Unsold books must be picked up after the sale on Saturday, from 2 -3 p.m.

NWACHEA will retain a percentage of your sales as follows:
– Volunteers who work the entire time, from 3-7 pm on Friday plus 8-3 on Saturday – 0%
– Volunteers who work one of the two critical shifts (3-5 Friday OR 1-3 Saturday) – 5%
– Volunteers who work any of the other shifts – 10%
– Non-volunteers – 15%

Volunteer times are:
Friday 3 – 5 pm (marking chair locations, stacking chairs, setting up tables, sorting/placing books)
Friday 5 – 7 pm (sorting/placing books)
Saturday 9 – 11 am (book straightening, working checkout table)
Saturday 11 – 1 pm (book straightening, working checkout table)
Saturday 1 – 3 pm (sorting and stacking books for pickup, breaking down tables, setting up chairs)
