‘Teaching the Distractible Child’ Workshop – Monday, Nov. 10

All parents are invited to a FREE workshop on Monday, November 10, from 7-9 p.m. at  the Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale/Tontitown.

TOPIC:  Teaching the Distractible Child

Attendees will be listening to an audio CD of a two-part workshop that Marni attended at a convention in Oklahoma City, given by speaker/author Carol Barnier.  It was so relevant and funny that Marni wanted to share it.  Parents will go home with many teaching ideas they can apply immediately.  If you have a child who gets distracted easily, or is perpetually moving, or is ADHD or ADD, or is a kinesthetic learner, the information presented at this workshop will help you.

==========

All homeschooling parents are invited to attend the free Homeschool Help Workshops organized by veteran home educators Marni Hendrix and Shelley Kinder. Both Marni and Shelley have many years of experience and have homeschooled children through graduation. These workshops are FREE but donations are accepted to help cover the cost of handouts. The event is not sponsored by a support group, and you do not need to be a member of any group to attend.

Childcare is not provided at the workshop. Nursing infants and babes in arms are welcome.

Directions to Circle of Life hospice:

– From I540 (now called I49), take the 412 / Sunset exit (#72) in Springdale, and drive west toward Tontitown.

– Turn right at the Jones Rd. stoplight (the intersection with the Harps store on the right/north side of 412). Circle of Life is the first building on the right after Harps, 901 Jones Rd. It says Circle of Life on the building, but the sign at the entrance reads Willard and Pat Walker Family Center.
