FREE Homeschooling Workshop, Monday, August 7th

You are invited to a FREE homeschooling workshop entitled “The Nitty Gritty of Homeschooling” on Monday, August 7th, at 7:00PM  at the Circle of Life Hospice Building in Springdale/Tontitown.

If in the past you have attended “Teaching Tips for the Elementary Grades,” then you have already heard the material in this workshop.  The workshop had gotten too long so Marni decided to split it in two — this one and “Teaching Tips for Grades K-6th” (which will be presented on Monday, August 28th).

The Nitty Gritty of Homeschooling – Remedying academic problems typically found in public schools, planning lessons, scheduling the school day (or not,) occupying toddlers, socializing, avoiding burn-out, repeating and skipping grades, and choosing books at the library.

This is a FREE workshop, but donations are accepted to help cover the cost of handouts.
RSVP’s are not needed.  It’s OK to come late or leave early.
There will be no childcare provided. Nursing infants and babes in arms are welcome but please do not bring older children.

Directions:
From I49, take the Holiday Inn exit in Springdale (exit 72) and go west toward Tontitown.
Near Tontitown, turn right at the Jones Rd. stoplight. There is a Harps on the right at that intersection.
Circle of Life is the first building on the right after Harps, 901 Jones Rd.
It says “Circle of Life” on the building, but at the entrance there is a
sign that says “Willard and Pat Walker Family Center” and another that says “Earlene Howard Hospice Home.”
