Northwest Arkansas Christian Home Educators Association
Anyone who’d like to meet and visit with some of the current members prior to the Fayetteville NWACHEA planning meeting on the 25th can join us for an informal meet-and-greet at C.L. Charlie and Willie George Park, 4023 Hylton Rd., Springdale, AR on Friday August 18th from 10-1. This will just be a time of play and fun, that will hopefully give newcomers a chance to see whether they’re interested in attending the planning meeting to find out more about the group’s activities.
This park includes a splash pad, so you may want to bring swimsuits, towels, and/or a change of clothes for your kids. We’ll be at the pavilion starting at 10, but will no doubt be floating around the park as time wears on.
Mark your calendar and plan to attend Fayetteville NWACHEA’s fall planning meeting on Friday, August 25th, 2017, at 1 p.m., at Mt. Comfort Church of Christ in Fayetteville.
At this meeting, we will be outlining our tentative schedule of events for the fall semester. If you plan to participate in the group this semester, you should do your best to attend. Please remember that Fayetteville NWACHEA is parent-led and depends entirely on parents volunteering to make activities happen for our families, so please come prepared with ideas for field trips and events that you would like to organize for the group over the next few months.
If possible, PLEASE PRINT A COPY OF THE 2017/18 MEMBERSHIP FORM and fill it out ahead of time. This will save time on the day of the meeting. We will collecting forms and $25 annual membership dues at the end of our planning time, or you can mail your completed application with a check to the address on the form.
Children are welcome to attend the meeting, as always. Younger children (7 years or younger) will be supervised by older teens. They will be in a separate room, with a kid-friendly movie, coloring pages, and possibly some other activities. Older students (age 8+) will be playing board games on the far side of the sanctuary while the adults meet. If your family has a favorite game, please bring it along to share with others!
Please contact Marni Hendrix, Beth Gildner or Amy Calhoun with any questions.
