October 17, 2018Posted by on
You are invited to attend a FREE homeschooling workshop entitled “Teaching Tips for Grades K-6th” on Monday, November 5th at 7:00 pm at the Circle of Life Hospice Building in Springdale/Tontitown.
Teaching Tips for Grades K-6th
Practical tips for teaching Reading, Writing, Math, Social Studies, and Science in grades K-6th. Some other specific topics covered are: state standards, standardized testing, making your own curriculum, making your own purchased curriculum more fun and meaningful, how to help left-handers, math fact memorization, and dyslexia.
This is a FREE workshop, but donations are accepted to help cover the cost of handouts. These workshops are organized and taught by Marni Hendrix and Shelley Kinder, veteran homeschool moms from the NWA area. They are not sponsored by any homeschool organization and you do not need to be a member of any group to attend.
An RSVP is not required. It’s OK to arrive late or leave early, as needed.
Childcare is not provided. Nursing infants and babes in arms are welcome, but out of consideration for others who are attending, please do not bring older children as there is not space for them to play.
From I-49, take the Holiday Inn exit in Springdale (exit 72) and drive west toward Tontitown. Near Tontitown, turn right at the Jones Rd. stoplight. There is a Harps on the right at that intersection. Circle of Life is the first building on the right after Harps. The street address is 901 Jones Rd. At the entrance there is also a sign that says “Earlene Howard Hospice Home.”
